
It's never pleasant to be involved in a collision. But it doesn't have to be that bad either. If you know what to do, it can make a big difference.
Take a moment, then check to make sure that you are unharmed and check any occupants in the vehicle. No injuries? Great! Now make sure that no one else in the other vehicle
If there has been injuries call 911 for help.
Don't leave the scene of an accident until all matters have been taken care of, and the police have been notified.
If the vehicle is driveble, move your vehicle to the side if it's in a dangerous position, or if so instructed by the police officer.
Gather the important information you'll need from the other driver. Give only the necessary and requested information to the police and other parties involved in the accident. Do not admit any liability or discus the accident with anyone other than the police officer.
If towing is required and you have ROADSIDE or CAA, ask the police to request one of these companies for towing. There is no charge for this service.
